Policy on Curricular Cooperation

4200.1 Policy on Curricular Cooperation

Curriculum – including courses, certificates, and programs of study – are developed by faculty at the program and department level at Wright State University. Many of these courses may be offered at either the Dayton or Lake campuses and taught by faculty associated at either campus. As such, faculty from both campuses should be collaboratively involved, through inclusion in relevant curricular committees, in the development of courses, certificates, and programs of study closely associated with the courses they are assigned to teach.

The Faculty maintains that full-time faculty assigned to teach courses within a particular program are eligible to serve on the faculty committees that govern those programs as well as on the curriculum committees in the associated department. Relevant bylaws should be adjusted accordingly to recognize this formal collaboration by all faculty associated with courses and programs, regardless of which campus they are most closely associated.
